This new F1 hybrid Vinca (or Catharanthus) brings genetics compactness and an excellent pack and garden performance.
In addition to the above breeding goals, Vinca Solar starts flowering up to two weeks earlier than open-pollinated Vinca, producing a first large flower with overlapping petals.
It has a better disease tolerance, when compared to open-pollinated Vinca’s. The Solar series has the ability to overcome stressful growing conditions in the packs and in the garden. They perform very well throughout extreme hot and humid conditions.
F1 hybrid Solar also performs well under cooler conditions, making the series ideal for early sowings, extending the traditional Vinca season.
The basal branched and compact plants form a continuously blooming mound of large flowers throughout the season and does not stretch. The bloom time across the colour range is highly uniform.
The garden height is 25-30 cm (10-12 in.).
The flower size up to 5 cm (2 in.).
