Fleuroselect

Hem Genetics BV is member of the Fleuroselect organisation. This organisation was founded in 1970 by European breeders of flower seed varieties.
The objective of the organisation is to stimulate the breeding of new varieties

from seed and vegetative material by testing and decribing these, as well as to protect the breeders' rights and to promote awarded varieties.

All America Selections

All-America Selections was the first organization to establish national trial grounds for testing new flowers and vegetables grown from seed. Since 1933, All-America Selections judges have been evaluating new varieties grown from seed in trials all over North America. The purposes of All-America Selections (AAS), both then and now, are to:

1. Encourage breeders to develop new varieties for improved quality and performance,

2. Provide home gardeners with new flowers and vegetable varieties which have won the All-America Selections award based on proven performance, and

3. Assist garden communicators with informative press releases and photography of the AAS winners and their significance.

The AAS award recognises a flower seed variety for significant achievements, superior to others in the market.
